How will I Be Paid the Paid Parental Leave Scheme Payment?

Generally, if you have been with your employer for 12 months or more, you will receive your Parental Leave pay from your employer, just like other leave payments. This will take full effect from 1 July 2011, with employers able to opt in from 1 January 2011.

Your employer will be funded by the Australian Government to provide Paid Parental Leave.

In other cases parents will be paid by the Family Assistance Office.
